About this vintage design furniture
This chest of drawers was designed by John and Sylvia Reid and manufactured in the UK by Stag, in the 1960s. This piece belongs to the Fineline Range and it is made from birch veneered. It features five drawers with nickel-plated metal handles and it is set on four legs in brushed steel. This chest was restored and it is in a good condition.

About the designer
John REID
John and Sylvia Reid were a British design couple known for their contribution to modern design in the UK in the 1950s and 1960s. John Reid was born in 1918 in Newcastle upon Tyne and studied sculpture at the city's School of Fine Arts. Sylvia Reid, born in Glasgow in 1917, studied painting at the Glasgow School of Art.
