Silvio Coppola

He worked for several renowned Italian companies, including Olivetti, Alessi and Kartell, and designed numerous products such as typewriters, furniture, kitchen utensils and plastic objects.

Throughout his career, Silvio Coppola received many prestigious awards for his design achievements, including the Compasso d'Oro in 1960 and 1962, as well as the special prize at the Milan Design Biennale in 1979.

He also taught industrial design at the University of Florence and was a founding member of the ADI (Association for Industrial Design) in Italy. His contribution to the world of Italian design is considerable, and his work continues to inspire designers the world over.
