Max Sauze is a French sculptor and artist. He developed new forms and innovative techniques for creating thanks to a visionnary approach.

Sauze is renowned to create pieces of furniture with aluminum. The artistis designed several lamps lines such as the iconic Cassiopé hanging liht (1970). However is also designed the “Isocele” table during the 1970s.


Biography

Max Sauze was born in Alger in 1933. From a young age, he developed an interest for creation. He studied at the school of fine arts in Alger then at the famous Camondo school in Paris. Then he moved to Aix en Provence to start his career. He decided to work with aluminum and to search new geometric forms. It is the beginning of his first lamps lines. At the end of the 1960s, Sauze met with great sucess all around the world! He participad to several shows and he commercialized his pieces in Europe. He also sold his creations in the United States and in Canada! Several exhibitions in many prestigious places have been organized in Paris: in the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, at the Centre Pompidou, the Palais de la Découverte...
